Day one: Birthplace of Usui Sensei
Mikao Usui was born in August 1865 in the village of Taniai in the Yamagata district of Gifu. This will be our first stop on our Reiki tour.

Day two: Mt Kurama and Reiki circle
A day for exploring and learning about the mountain – the birthplace of Usui Reiki Ryoho

Day three: Mt Hiei
A day exploring Mt Hiei and the Enrakuji Temple – The birthplace of Tendai Buddhism, this is one of the most sacred mountains in Japan. A place where many influential monks and spiritual teachers practiced and studied, including Usui Sensei.

Day four: Mt Kurama
An afternoon and early evening visiting Mt Kurama. A most beautiful and very special opportunity for self-connection and exploration, further teachings and practice.What the tour includes:

What’s not included?

The following items are not included in the tour: accommodation, meals, travel and transfers, and entry fees. You’re welcome to choose the options that best fit your preferences. There will be opportunities to coordinate with other participants, and we’ll be sharing more helpful tips and suggestions in the coming months.

Here is a breakdown of estimated costs in AUD that you can expect while travelling Japan:

• Accomodation in Kyoto ranges from
• Osaka-Kyoto bullet train ~$15 each way
• Subway ride in Kyoto ~$2 per trip (depends on distance traveled)
• Bus fare ~$2 per trip, based on distance
• Taxi in Kyoto ~$15-30 USD depending on distance
• Entrance to most shrines (Mt. Kurama, etc) ~$8 or less
• Dinner out at a mid-range restaurant ~$20-40
• Budget restaurant dinner (still amazing food!) ~$10
